摘要：A method of providing communication services for a mobile station having a
plurality of communication interfaces is disclosed. Each communication interface has anactive power mode and an inactive power mode. The power consumption of a
communication interface in the active power mode is greater than in the inactive powermode. In the method, a first communication interface is activated based on powercharacteristics of the first communication interface with respect to the plurality ofcommunication interfaces. A communication service level of the activated firstcommunication interface is assessed for a first predetermined time period. The firstcommunication interface is then deactivated. A second communication interface isactivated based on power characteristics of the second communication interface withrespect to the plurality of communication interfaces. A communication service level of theactivated second communication interface is assessed for a second predetermined timeperiod. The second communication interface is then deactivated.
