摘要: Dental instruments made of olefin polymers are formed directly via rapidprototyping without the use of intermediate physical molds. The polymer precursorsolution contains one or more olefin-containing monomers and / or oligomers, an olefinpolymerization catalyst, and a UV absorber to limit the penetration of UV light throughthe polymer precursor solution. One or more reactions of the polymer precursorsolution are adjusted in response to UV light, and the polymer precursor solution mayfurther contain an inhibitor (quenching agent) configured to regulate those reactions. The
polymer precursor solution can be deposited using UV curable stereolithography or 3Dprinting to form instruments with improved fracture elongation characteristics andsuitable stress tolerance.
